Amman - The Chief of Palestinian Police, Major General Allam Al-Saqa, met with the Director of the Jordanian Public Security, His Excellency Major General Dr. Obaidallah Al-Maaytah, in the Jordanian capital, Amman, to discuss ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides.
At the beginning of the meeting, Major General Allam Al-Saqa conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas - President of the State of Palestine and Commander-in-Chief of the Security Forces, stressing the depth of the fraternal relations and strategic partnership between the Palestinian police and its Jordanian counterpart, and the keenness of the Palestinian leadership to enhance cooperation in various security and training fields.
During the meeting, the importance of benefiting from police expertise and capabilities was emphasized, especially in combating crime and training officers and non-commissioned officers. In addition, the firm and supportive political position towards the Palestinian cause and the vision of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and His Majesty King Abdullah II in providing all necessary facilities to the Palestinian police were reviewed.
Major General Al-Saqa also gave a briefing on the work of the Palestinian police, addressing the most prominent challenges facing it and the general situation in Palestine. The two sides discussed the importance of information technology and keeping up with the latest global developments in this field to enhance the efficiency of police work.
Major General Al-Saqa was accompanied on his visit by Brigadier General Dr. Alaa Al-Shalabi- Inspector General of Police, and Brigadier General Laith Zidane- Head of the Office of the Director General of Police.
Major General Al-Saqa and the accompanying delegation also visited the Jordanian International Police Training Center, where they learned about the various training skills, watched a unique display of storming operations, and took a field tour of the center’s training facilities and fields.
In a related context, the delegation visited the Operations and Control Directorate, where it listened to a detailed briefing on its working mechanism and its role in managing police and security operations, in addition to a presentation on the Public Security Directorate’s strategic plan, which aims to enhance security and stability using the latest means and technologies.
This meeting and these visits are part of a cooperation between the two sides to enhance security and stability and exchange experiences in a way that serves the common interest of the two brotherly peoples.
