Ramallah – The General Directorate of Police – Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, Chief of Palestinian Police, emphasized that policing is a national responsibility that requires dedication and sencerity in serving citizens, stressing the importance of continuous efforts to enhance security and stability.
This came during an inspection tour conducted by Major General Al-Saqqa, accompanied by several assistants directors of police, directors of specialized departments, and provincial police direcors. The tour included visits to the Guard departments, the Central Special Police Unit, Beitunia Correction and Rehabilitation Center, the Jerusalem Suburbs Police Directorate, and the Directorate of Police for Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate. He also inspected police officers deployed in the field in downtown Ramallah.
During his meeting with police officers, Major General Al-Saqqa conveyed the greetings of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas, Supreme Commander of the Security Forces, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, and Minister of Interior Major General Ziad Hab Al-Reeh, extending his best wishes on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr.
Major General Al-saqqa affirmed that the police force continues to develop and modernize its capabilities based on modern scientific principles. He urged police personnel to redouble their efforts and work as a united team to serve the nation and its citizens. He also stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and partnerships with all security institutions to reinforce security and stability.
Major General Al-Saqqa pointed out that security is the cornerstone of a prosperous society , which can only be achieved through genuine partnerships with all segments of society, built on trust and cooperation, as security is a collective responsibility.
He also expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and efforts of all police personnel in fulfilling their national duties. At the end of his tour, Major General Al-Saqqa laid a wreath of flowers at the tomb of the late iconic leader Yasser Arafat (Abu Ammar) and reciting Al-Fatiha in honor of his soul and the souls of all martyrs.
