Ramallah – The General Directorate of Police: Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, Chief of Palestinian of Police, received today, Wednesday, a delegation from the Italian Carabinieri, headed by Brigadier Pietro Carrozza, to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation in training and developing the police system, in addition to strengthening community policing efforts.
The two sides discussed the importance of community policing in fostering a partnership between citizens and security agencies, emphasizing the necessity of developing police work according to the best global practices to improve the efficiency of police services for society.
Major General Al-Saqqa reaffirmed the Palestinian police’s commitment to benefiting from successful international experiences, highlighting the importance of cooperation with the Italian side in enhancing security and service performance. He also expressed his gratitude to the Italian police for their cooperation and contributions to developing the capabilities of the Palestinian police.
He praised the deep relations with European partners in the security field, noting that exchanging expertise is a key pillar in developing the police system and enhancing security, stability, and stability in society.
For their part, the Carabinieri delegation expressed their pleasure with this visit and the level of bilateral cooperation, appreciating the achievements of the Palestinian police despite the challenges and confirming their country’s readiness to strengthen this cooperation in a way that serves mutual interests.
This meeting comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance the presence and participation of the Palestinian police on the international stage and to strengthen its relations with police forces worldwide.
The meeting was attended by Brigadier General Abu Znaid Abu Znaid, Director of the Training Department; Brigadier Ibrahim Al-Absi, Director of the Palestine College for Police Sciences; and Colonel Maher Al-Sadiq, Director of the Office of the Chief of Police. The Carabinieri delegation included Brigadier Marco Bocciati, Colonel Claudio Capello, and Lieutenant Colonel Marcello Leonetti.
