Nablus –The Chief of Palestinian Police, Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, emphasized today, Tuesday, that achieving security is a shared responsibility between the police and the community, highlighting the importance of cooperation in strengthening the rule of law. This statement came during an inspection tour he conducted in the city of Nablus, covering several security and commercial sites.
Major General Al-Saqqa began his visit by inspecting the Nablus Police Directorate, where he was received by Brigadier Issa Abu Allan, the Director of Nablus Police, his deputy Brigadier Safwan Barham, and several directors of departments and divisions. He reviewed the workflow within the directorate, stressing the need to enhance the security services provided to citizens.
He then conducted a field tour of the city’s markets and the Old City, including a visit to Al-Nasr Mosque, where he examined security procedures and listened to citizens and merchants regarding their concerns about security and police services.
As part of efforts to improve communication with the public, Major General Al-Saqqa opened a dedicated office in the Nablus Police Directorate to receive messages, comments, and inquiries via WhatsApp at 00970568620628, as well as through the official Facebook page of the Nablus Police Directorate. Additionally, he stressed that the directorate would welcome citizens daily to address their requests and concerns directly.
Following an Iftar meal with police personnel, attended by Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas, security agency leaders, and officials, Major General Al-Saqqa conveyed the greetings of H.E. President Mahmoud Abbas, the President of the State of Palestine and Supreme Commander of the Security Forces, Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, and Minister of Interior Ziad Hab Al-Reeh.
He also emphasized the importance of continuing the implementation of security and traffic plans, especially during the last ten days of Ramadan, praising the distinguished performance and police deployment across Nablus Governorate to ensure safety and stability.
