Ramallah – His Excellency the Governor of the Monetary Authority, Mr. Yahya Shunar, and the Chief of Palestinian Police, Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, signed today a Memorandum of Understanding for the Police to join the E-SADAD platform, in a step aimed at facilitating the electronic payment of traffic fines.
The agreement was signed at the headquarters of the Monetary Authority in Ramallah, in the presence of Deputy Governor Mr. Mohammed Manasra, General Manager of the Palestinian Payment Services Company Mr. Nader Al-Salhi, along with technical teams from both sides.
This cooperation allows citizens to pay traffic fines electronically via the E-SADAD platform using any banking application or e-wallet, at any time, and without fees, thus facilitating procedures and saving time and effort.
His Excellency Governor Shunar affirmed that this step aligns with the Monetary Authority’s strategy to enhance digital financial services, noting that the E-SADAD platform represents a significant shift towards a cashless society. He also praised the role of the Police in maintaining security and order, considering this collaboration a reflection of joint efforts to develop electronic services.
For his part, Major General Al-Saqqa commended the Monetary Authority’s efforts in developing the banking sector, highlighting its adoption of the latest technologies and provision of digital financial solutions that facilitate citizens’ transactions and enhance the efficiency of services provided.
It is worth noting that the E-SADAD platform is supervised by the Monetary Authority and managed by the Palestinian Payment Services Company. It connects payment service providers with various sectors, contributing to improving the consumer payment experience and simplifying financial transactions securely and efficiently.
The memorandum was signed in the presence of Brigadier Mansour Daraghmeh, Director of the Traffic Department, and Brigadier Samer Al-Hindi, Director of the Communications and Information Technology Department.
