Ramallah – General Directorate of Police –Major General Allam Al-Saqqa, Chief of Palestinian Police, met Monday, with Dr. Ashraf Al-A’war, Minister of Jerusalem Affairs, in his office. The meeting, which was also attended by Awad Awad, Director of the Ministry’s Public Relations and Media Unit, focused on ways to enhance cooperation and coordination between the two sides in support of civil peace and stability in the Jerusalem Governorate.
The police stated that the meeting addressed ways to support civil peace in Jerusalem, as well as possible solutions to alleviate traffic congestion at city entrances and surrounding Palestinian towns.
Major General Al-Saqqa emphasized the importance of collaborating with the Ministry of Jerusalem Affairs to face security and development challenges, aiming to serve residents, facilitate movement, and achieve sustainable development goals in this vital area.
Minister Al-A’war, in turn, commended the significant role of the Palestinian police in strengthening security and enforcing the law among citizens. He praised the recent security actions to improve traffic control, enhance security, and maintain order in the Jerusalem area, underscoring their commitment to protecting citizens despite the surrounding complexities.
