Jericho –Over 27,000 Palestinian citizens and visitors traveled through Al-Karameh Crossing last week, with police detaining 78 individuals wanted by the courts and public prosecution.
According to police reports, 14,336 people departed, while 13,525 arrived during the week, reflecting active movement through the crossing.
Police noted that 78 individuals wanted by the courts or banned from travel were apprehended, either while attempting to leave or upon their arrival in Palestinian territories. These individuals are wanted in various cases pending before the Palestinian courts
Additionally, the police confirmed that all security and civilian agencies at the Crossings and Borders department provided extensive support and services to all travelers. This included coordinating ambulance transport for medical cases across both sides of the crossing to facilitate their travel.
