Police Participates in the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women in Hebron

25th Nov.2014 (Hebron) -- Representatives Palestinian Police participated in the  a ceremony marking the International day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.
The Public Relation and Media department in Police reported “The International day for eliminating the Violence against Women. The International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women was designated in 25th Nov by the United Nation, aims to deliver a clear message which says “No Violence against Women”.
The Public Relation and Media department along with the Family Protection unit in cooperation with Hebron municipality and the office of governor participated in launching the ceremony. Representatives of governmental and non-governmental organization, interested in women affairs attended the ceremony. The event started with the mural included a list of women who died  Martyrs.
Representing Palestinian police, major Bashir Al-Natsha delivered a speech in which he asserted that police would remain determined to support all efforts to eliminate violence against women.
The statement confirmed that Palestinian Police opposes all aspects of violence against women, highlighting that any violations of women’s rights is a violation of human rights in general.
